What an exceptional experience at Joseph's today! Hubby and I dined here for a late breakfast/early lunch, and as it was our first visit, our only perception of what to expect was what we read on Yelp in advance. Joseph greeted us, sat us, made wonderful conversation with us, and sincerely thanked us for our business as we left. We really felt appreciated by him. Something to note is that the menu you will find online is somewhat outdated. When I mentioned that (after receiving the actual menu) Joseph told me that everything is made to order so I could easily order anything not on the menu as long as they had the ingredients. YAY for me! I ordered the Mediterranean Frittata, but added brie to it, and asked that the onions be red onions. No problem! The baked, hot, and bubbly frittata came out a bit later and was oooooh so flavorful! AND, the portion was MUCH more than I expected for a $10 menu item in Delray Beach. My husband loved his Mahi Mahi wrap, and also said it was very flavorful. A tip for future patrons: Allow plenty of time while dining here. This is not a, "Pop in for a quick meal" type of place. Walk in, relax, have good conversation, eat, drink, have more conversation, and make it an experience. Service is attentive, but not really quick, but that is by design. If you want "quick", this is probably not the right type of restaurant for you. We'll easily go back and will try dinner next time.

I hate to give this place the review it deserves because I enjoy being able to walk right in. This restaurant is the place I have always been looking for - great wine by the glass or bottle, impeccable advice and service, a small menu with only top selections, and fair prices. So yeah, it is Delray's best kept secret and my favorite place in town right now.

Food is great. I especially like the grape leaves. This is a really cute, small, quiet place nice for a date. Dim lighting and a very large wine selection.

It's hard not to be kind and give four stars to people in your neighborhood. However Josephs really earns the rating. A delightful little restaurant in Pineapple Grove, Josephs has a small but elegant inside and a tablecloth covered curbside seating area. We always sit outside. Tonight I shared a crab cake appetizer with my friend. The crab cake was small, moist and tasty with no filler. Our accompanied Ceasar salad was ample. The sea bass looked more like the Bronzino variety. It was a thin piece of fish that was cooked moist, browned and deliciously seasoned. The basmati rice, asparagus and broccoli complementary to the fish. My husband ordered the duck which was just perfectly crispy, not dry and quite good. The waiter was Joseph, himself , who could not be more charming. His beautiful daughter is alway there and so sweet to chat with. He remembered us from prior visits and sincerely thanked us for our patronage. What more could one ask?

Joseph's is a fantastic dining experience in south florida. Worthy of a trip from surrounding areas, Joseph and his wife shine in the deliciousness category and unbelievable service. Joseph is happy to choose a wine for you while you peruse the menu, just give him a taste profile and budget, he will not dissapoint. Atmosphere is low key, lots of marble and low lights, i'd suggest for a 2nd date through a group of 3-4 couples. Food very delicious and each dish is carefully prepared for beautiful presentation. A few highlights from our visit on Tuesday 1/20/15. Hummus starter, smooth and yummy homemade hummus topped with just the right amount of EVOO. Baked brie was also a nice plate, gooey brie with fresh apple slices and grapes. Salads were fresh and perfectly seasoned, no need for fresh pepper or salt here, they've nailed it. Tuna entree is stellar and again presented beautifully. Finally, we tried the duck l'orange which was a special and it came out great, crispy skin and tender duck. Dessert was homemade tiramisu which was lucious and also presented impeccably. Not my first visit to joseph's but the first time back in over 5 years. Once again, did not dissapoint, and exceeded expectations from my memories.

What a fabulous gastronomic surprise! After reading the reviews here on Yelp, we decided to give this place a try. Wow! From the baked brie which was drizzled with honey and sprinkled with toasted almonds to the duck a l'orange, Mediterranean chicken kebabs and the seared ahi tuna rolled in black and white sesame seeds, this dinner was delish! And Joseph, the proprietor was perfectly attentive and by the time we walked out, everyone at the table felt as if we had formed an amazing friendship! We'll be back. Again and again! Best food AND service.

Have been going to Joseph's for years. Love everything about this place. Every meal I've eaten, I've loved. Came for dinner on my birthday and was treated like a queen. Love Joseph and his family... they make you feel so welcome. Def a must for a nice romantic dinner and a great bottle of wine :)

Fantastic. One of the best restaurants in the Delray area for food, wine, ambiance and hospitality. The humus and desserts are homemade by Joseph's wife, and are not to missed. The lamb chops are absolutely delicious and the restaurant boasts an amazing wine list. If you have difficulty in deciding which wine to have with your meal, Joseph will come to your rescue with his keen wine knowledge. Run, don't walk to Joseph's. P.S. Reservations are highly recommended.

We ended up at Joseph's by accident one day and it was been our favorite restaurant since. Atmosphere: dim lights, great wine selection, outside or inside seating, bar seating, cozy and comfortable. Service: Joseph himself approaches the table and his daughter also. They are both wonderful, attentive, professional and courteous. Joseph can suggest wines out of his large selection and nail it. They take their time and don't rush you through meals, so if you are looking to catch a movie in a rush, you might want to go elsewhere. In my opinion, not being rushed is best for an overall pleasant dinner experience. Food: perfect and consistent... We've been here many times and have never been disappointed with quality, presentation or taste. Steamed veggies are on point, any dish is great depending on whether you like fish, filet, lamb, chicken, etc.. Appetizers are excellent, I would recommend the baked Brie! They also give you a loaf of warm crunchy bread with I olive oil that is to die for and fresh. Tiramisu made by Joseph's wife is the best I've ever tried in any place, many people that have been here with us agree.... Perfect amount of sweetness, not overbearing and very fresh! Great presentation... Price: it's worth every penny. If you are looking to spend 10$ a dish, you're better off at a chain restaurant, this is definitely worth the 15-25$ price range per dish and you won't regret it when you pay the bill.. Overall a great place to have a date, a couples night or just meet with friends for some wine and appetizers! Will continue coming here to enjoy :)! We love Joseph and his family we have become frequent 'clients' thanks to the great attention they provide.

If you didn't know Delray, you may never find this place. It is a block off of Delray's main strip on Atlantic, but it definitely is one of the best mediteranean places around. Everything is so fresh, from the homemade spinach barekas to the hummus. For an entree the chicken kabob is my go to. It is an extremely family friendly environment, as the owner and wait staff are extremely accommodating. If they are out of high chairs they will go to one of their other restaurants down the street to get you one,

What a beautiful and delicious Christmas Eve dinner we had at Joseph's. From the perfect Pinot noir recommended by Joseph to the Mediterranean turnover to the duck special. This family owned romantic intimate restaurant is a very special place. I cannot recommend it more. We will definitely return.

Joesph's is family owned and run by the most delightful family who are also talented in creating delicious meals. Everything is fresh and made to order. We had the Mediterranean plate as an appetizer. While this is listed as an entree it was perfect for the four of us in our party. The stuff grape leaves and hummus was out of this world. We also had the cheese plate which was a delight. For the main courses we had the Duck a la Orange, the shrimp special and pecan encrusted sea bass (special request which they were more than happy to make for us). The Duck was outstanding. Too often Duck a la Orange is served too sweet and with too much sauce. This was a crisp and juicy duck that was roasted with fresh orange peel and zest. You got the full flavor of the duck and the gentle enhancement from the orange. The shrimp and fish were also perfect. The setting in this smallish restaurant is perfect for a intimate meal or to enjoy great food with good friends. The wine list is extensive and reasonable. Joesph and his family (wife and lovely daughter) offer the best and most attentive service. You feel like you are an honored guest in their home. This is a restaurant that must be experienced more than once.

I agree with Maria on this one. Really fantastic ambiance, food, and experience. Dim lighting provided by the chandelier with a huge wood wine wall both make for a romantic and very relaxing atmosphere. Do yourself two favors: call ahead for reservations and get the cheese plate (awesome cheeses from around the world). 5 Stars!

I cannot give enough kudos about this place. The restaurant is off-Atlantic Avenue, in Pineapple Grove. It is owned by a family who work very hard to bring the best experience to their customers. The food is the best quality, always fresh and cooked to perfection. The wine selection is astounding. Due to the size of this popular treasure, it is very wise to make reservations and an absolute must for a weekend. They can accommodate overflow outdoors at times, but for occasional inclement weather, be prepared to wait. And I may add, the wait is well worth it.

A small quiet place off the Atlantic Avenue main street in Pineapple Grove, Delray Beach. Seats maybe 30 people? High end food and wine. This is a frequent spot for "date night" with my wife (its become her favorite escape-the-crowds place). Very local guests. Run by a father and son who work hard on personal relationships.

What a unique treasure in Delray! The moment we walked in I was super impressed by the wall of wine and crystal chandeliers, the place exuded class. The owner himself was serving us the night we went in and everything we selected from the wine to the food was absolutely amazing. I got the onion soup (a holiday favorite of mine) and I have to say, no one rivals my Aunt E's onion soup at Christmas but this one BLEW me away. I also selected a special dish that night, the duck l'orange (I wanted to be able to say I've had duck l'orange) and WOW, so tender and flavorful and out of this world. I wish this guy lived in Tampa. Definitely plan on making a reservation ahead of time as the seating is limited.

If you're looking for a romantic and intimate dinner this is the place. The food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Joseph is the owner and host. He told me all desserts are made by his wife. We have been dining here since the first day Joseph opened and have never had a bad experience. As we often do, we went to Joseph's Wine Bar again for dinner last night. The inside dining area was full due to the rainy conditions with available seating at the bar, which was great since Joseph, his son and daughter are very engaging and enjoyable. The food and the service is always excellent. Not a great beer selection (wonder why) but the wine selection the proprietor's knowledge is tremendous. I strongly recommend this establishment and look forward to our next visit. Enjoy!

Accidentally found Joseph's searching for a quick lunch. Found to be very eclectic, healthy and friendly. I particularly like that it is family run, healthy food, and excellent surroundings, including good background music. The owner's are very pleasant The food has a Lebanese flavor, quite tasty, and well prepared. Parking is tricky, saw a ticket being placed on a car and using the lot across the street could be risky as advised by the owner's son. Well worth the visit.
